Smell the season

Recently I bought a package of Frasier Fir potpourri from Thymes. It’s my favorite scent of all their collections and part of me wishes they would make it into a full body scent line (it’s only home scent now although they do have a hand lotion). I love smelling the fresh scent of fir and pine trees and this potpourri fits the bill perfectly. It’s fitting for the season as well. Who doesn’t want to walk home to the smell of fresh Christmas trees?
Smell of the woods

During our vacation I was surrounded by the phenomenal smells of the woods. And not just any woods, but of pines and birches and junipers – the crisp smells of a conifer forest that refresh and soothe. Zach referred to it as the smell of Christmas trees. Who wouldn’t like the smell of a Christmas tree! We were surrounded in the very kind: Douglas and Frasier firs.
On the rainy day of our visit we stopped in a shop at Jackson Lake Lodge and, as I mentioned in a previous post about that day, I bought a lotion that reminds me entirely of our time there in the forest at Grand Teton. Frasier fir hand lotion by Thymes has been on my nightstand ever since and I use it almost daily. I was so impressed by how well the company captured my favorite scent I decided to look them up online and buy more. Since then, I’ve received two packages over the past month from them of soothing and refreshing smelling goodies.
